INSURANCE

The hirer is responsible for payment of up to $10,000 in the event of any damage to the vehicle during the hire period. This is the client’s excess.

 PRICING

Daily rate for hire of vehicle within the Carpentaria Shire:  $250.00

Daily rate for hire of vehicle outside the Carpentaria Shire: $300.00

  •    One way rental hire is not available. Vehicles must be returned to their pick-up location.

VEHICLE CHECK-IN TIME 

Vehicle pick-up and drop-off is between 8:00 am and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday and Saturdays from 9.00 am – 3.00 pm.

MINIMUM DAY RENTALS Minimum rental is one day.

DAILY HIRE CONDITIONS Calculates the hire of the vehicle on a per 24-hour day basis. For example, if you collect the car at 11.30 am it is due for return at 11.30 am on your last day of hire.

DRIVERS A current motor vehicle driver’s licence is required and must be produced on pick-up. Should a foreign licence be in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by a current International Driving Permit, issued in the same country as the foreign licence was issued, or by an accredited English translation of that foreign licence. The driver or a passenger in the vehicle must present their credit card as a security deposit. The credit limit must be sufficient to cover the insurance excess in case you have a car accident.

RETURN OF VEHICLE The vehicle should be returned with the same amount of fuel as when it was picked up, and should be returned by the due time to avoid a late fee. There is no refund or part refund for early return of the vehicle.

BOOKING AMENDMENTS We understand that sometimes plans change. If this is the case, any changes made to a booking will be classed as a cancellation and new booking will be required, including:

• • Change to pick-up or drop-off dates
  • Change of vehicle, unless the vehicle is unavailable at the time of hire

CANCELLATION FEE Inside 24 hours you will be charged a $300 cancellation fee.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE

1. 1. If the vehicle is not returned to Normanton Airport depot, the Client will incur a $5,000 free.
   2. Deposit fee is $2,000 – refunded if all terms and conditions of hire are met. (For Cash Only).
   3. Payment for any damage to hire vehicles shall be paid for by the Client. This includes windscreens and tyres.
   4. Windows must be kept closed whilst the vehicle is in use. The vehicle must be clean and tidy upon return.
   5. Clients may incur a cleaning fee of up to $5,000 if returned in an unreasonable condition.
   6. No smoking, including vaping, is allowed in hire vehicles. Without exception, a $1,000 cleaning fee shall be charged to clients where smoking inside the vehicle has occurred.
   7. Vehicles are NOT permitted to travel on Dunbar Road due to sub-standard road conditions. Clients will incur a $10,000 fee if the vehicle is driven on Dunbar Road.
   8. Hire vehicles are to be returned with the fuel tank full. A charge of $2.50 per litre plus the bowser charge will apply if not returned full.
   9. Booking cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of the booking date. Cancellations within 24 hours will result in clients being charged a $300 fee.
   10. Normanton Car Hire reserve the right to waiver any of the above fees at their sole discretion.
